Truro Cemetery supports itself financially by the sale of plots, the maintenance of three other cemeteries, grave site services, and by a small amount of interest from investments. With the decrease of interest rates, and the decline in sales of plots due to cremations per plot, the cemetery board is needing other ways to meet its expenses.

We Need Your Help

Now that the Truro Cemetery Corporation is a registered charity, the board wishes to encourage personal donations of financial gifts and legacies of wills, annuities or insurance policies to augment its investments portfolio. Toward this goal, the board is asking those wishing to honour a friend or relative, and those planning an estate, to consider a financial donation or a bequest to the Truro Cemetery Corporation. Such generosity would help with the preservation of this important landmark, as well as provide a charitable tax receipt or a valuable tax credit for the donor's final income tax return. Gifts to this charity can be made in the donor's name or in the memory of someone special.
